Jaeger

Max(imillian) Jaeger (1869-1943) served as Game Warden in Iron County for about twenty years ending in 1936.  He and his wife, Eleanor McCarthy (c. 1872-1929), settled in Iron River in the early 1900s (1902/1906).  Max had worked for the Northwestern Railroad and was crushed in a car collision and lost his right arm.

They had two surviving daughters:

  • Geraldine Mona Jaeger, who married Charles Sharoff c. 1924 and had one daughter, Mona.

  • Margaret Gertrude Jaeger who married Joseph Brown McKenna in 1915 and had one surviving daughter, Margaret Eleanor McKenna.
